This is just fucking scary. I feel that in the midst of coverage of the government shutdown, this is (too) quietly happening, much in the same way that Citizens United happened. And likely in the same fashion, the consequences are slippery and frightening. If you are weary of the influence of money on national politics, read up on it and watch this:
VICE’s videos. Act like you know. If you don’t know, now you know. Some of the best, and most interesting, journalism being done. I regularly watch their docs, films and videos. Here was one I just watched about a debt collector in the UK. Thought it was great, showing the many sides of Shaun Smith, some you might suspect but rarely get to see from someone in his profession.
